Major American corporation seeks partnerships with Finnish cleantech companies
Press release 5 March 2010
In co-operation with the American Embassy, the Lahti Science and Business Park is hosting a high-level contact-building event for Finnish cleantech companies on 16 March at Sibelius Hall in Lahti. The event is specifically planned at the behest of world-renowned global defense technology corporation, Lockheed Martin.
In accordance with the wishes of Lockheed Martin, nearly 20 Finnish companies have been invited to the contact-building event. Finnish excellence in cleantech has been recognized throughout the world. Indeed, Lahti's Finnish Cleantech Cluster was just named one of the top three cleantech clusters in the world.
"Our goal is to open a dialogue between top preselected Finnish cleantech companies and Lockheed Martin. We hope that this will be the impetus for bringing commercial contracts and investments to Finnish companies. These contact-building events promote the internationalization of businesses and location of foreign companies in Finland," explains Kati Tuominen, Marketing Manager for the Lahti Science and Business Park.
The American Embassy's Commercial Section is one of the Lahti Science and Business Park's strategic partners for bringing international investments to Finland and the Lahti region.
